Reach the Words - Write the Book
Project based consultations and courses are for those who wish to write and don't know where to start.
A person-centred approach to your project is employed.
From inception to conclusion, we take your writing dream and turn it into a realisable plan.
For those who write, but feel overwhelmed by what is involved and lose confidence, a good teacher and mentor helps you realise why you began.
Listening is Powerful
This is what they call my unique selling point, a business term, I prefer valuable definition.
After years of writing, editing and lecturing, I trained therapeutically to confirm my belief that fear and time,
the twin obstacles of all writers, are only overcome with mentoring the participant and their ideas.
Listening is powerful. All stories are listening.
‘Pure was I created and pure will I remain forever...
And the sheet of snow white paper did remain pure
and chaste forever — pure and chaste — and empty.
Suzanne is an enthusiastic, gifted and inspiring teacher. That is usually enough for anyone. It's plenty.
How many teachers have you had that would fit that description and if you had any, what influence did they have on you? There you go! Add to that a zest for life and literature, wicked sense of humour, an ability to have fun and spread that around. I know what I am talking about - in eleven years of running the West Cork Literary Festival Suzanne's workshops were the most sought after, the most talked about, and produced the best buzz. A teacher to her fingertips and a writer from the heart.
Clem Cairns, Fish Publishing
Suzanne’s instinctive abilities allowed the students under her tutelage to flourish. She has gone way beyond the required teaching role in her support. Suzanne’s passion for all forms of writing and her ability to develop the student’s capacity for understanding their world through creative processes is unique and remarkable.
Dr Derek Barter, Manager and Coordinator Adult Education, Maynooth University
I worked with Suzanne as a mentor for a number of years. I’ll never forget my first day. I really felt I didn’t belong and that my writing was not up to scratch. It was Suzanne who changed all this. She put on her editor’s hat and worked tirelessly to hone our skills. She's both an amazing mentor and editor and is the reason I’m still writing. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend her skills. It’ll be the best thing you’ll ever do; at least that’s how it worked for me!
